Mid-term and final exams

The school runs on a trimestrial system, therefore mid-term and final exams take place every five to six weeks. There are three trimesters in the school year.

Mid-term and final projects

For writing courses, mid-term or final projects can replace or be in addition to an exam, they are graded as such.

Club dates and concerts (second cycle)

Student concerts held at the end of each trimester, judged and graded by a jury of faculty members. Indispensable training for students performing before live audiences.  These concerts make up part of many high points of student life at the school. Both performing, and as part of the listening public, the student should consider these concerts as essential training for the professional musician. Watching and listening to each live performance the student is brought into contact with a personal and stylistic approach to his own instrument as well as to the interaction of all the other instrumentalists.

Instrumental exams

Sight-reading exams are held at mid-trimester and at the end of each trimester. Improvisation exams are held before a jury at the end of each trimester.

Grade reports

All grades and corrections are communicated to the student after each exam or project. All students receive an official grade report at the end of the each trimester with a detailed attendance summary (excessive absence or tardiness can be cause for withdrawal).
