{"id":9700,"date":"2018-05-10T11:03:41","date_gmt":"2018-05-10T09:03:41","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.asmm.fr\/?p=9700"},"modified":"2024-09-10T15:44:03","modified_gmt":"2024-09-10T13:44:03","slug":"tim-miller-master-class","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.asmm.fr\/en\/tim-miller-master-class\/","title":{"rendered":"Tim Miller Master Class"},"content":{"rendered":"<h4>It is with great pleasure that we will once again welcome guitarist Tim Miller in an exceptional and exclusive Master-Class for our students all day Monday, May 14th.<\/h4>\n<p>Tim Miller brings an innovative voice to the world of jazz guitar and has established himself for several years as one of the major guitarists of his generation.<\/p>\n<p>His career has taken him from Paris to New York to Boston, where he is currently a guitar teacher at <a href=\"https:\/\/www.berklee.edu\/\">Berklee College of Music<\/a>. Guitar Player magazine described his playing as &#8220;Pure melodic approach with remarkable control, airy sound, &#8230;). Miller&#8217;s music combines raw energy with compositions that emphasize his melodic approach.<\/p>\n<p>In Paris, Tim performed extensively with drummer <strong>Aldo Romano<\/strong> including numerous recordings, concerts and festivals. He then joined Berklee College of Music where he was able to record the album Sides with saxophonist <strong>George Garzone<\/strong>. He also played in quartet and duo with <strong>Mick Goodrick<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>In 2005 Miller released his first lead record &#8220;<strong>Trio<\/strong>&#8220;, which received critical acclaim, and then his follow-up record &#8220;Trio Vol. 2 \u201dand more recently\u201c Trio Vol. 3 &#8221;<\/p>\n<p>Tim has played with <strong>Paul Motian<\/strong>, <strong>Randy Brecker<\/strong>, <strong>Mark Turner<\/strong>, <strong>Terri Lyne Carrington<\/strong>, <strong>Gary Thomas<\/strong>, <strong>Gary Husband<\/strong>, <strong>George Duke<\/strong>, <strong>Chris Cheek<\/strong> and <strong>Keith Carlock<\/strong>, <strong>Dweezil Zappa<\/strong>,\u2026<\/p>\n<p>He also co-wrote Creative Chordal Harmony for Guitar: Using Generic Modality Compression with <strong>Mick Goodrick<\/strong> in 2012.<\/p>\n<p>He will be accompanied for the occasion by our teacher <strong>Nelson Veras<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/www.timmillermusic.com\">www.timmillermusic.com<\/a><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>It is with great pleasure that we will once again welcome guitarist Tim Miller in an exceptional and exclusive Master-Class for our students all day Monday, May 14th.
