Maciek Lasserre<\/strong> is a musician with a unique creative vision<\/strong>, active on the Parisian and international scenes<\/strong>, blending contemporary jazz<\/strong> and experimental rap<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

From 2001 to 2010<\/strong>, he participated in a series of international tours<\/strong>, performing across Africa<\/strong> (Senegal, Mali, Burkina Faso, Morocco, Tunisia) and Europe<\/strong>. In 2006<\/strong>, he moved to New York<\/strong> to study the music of Steve Coleman<\/strong>, immersing himself in the city\u2019s avant-garde scene alongside Steve Lehman<\/strong>, Vijay Iyer<\/strong>, and Tyshawn Sorey<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Upon returning to Europe, Maciek intensified his compositional work<\/strong> and developed the MCK Projekt<\/strong>, a framework to formalize the core concepts of his musical, aesthetic, and philosophical vision<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In 2015<\/strong>, he co-founded the group S\u00e9l\u00e9b\u00e9yone<\/strong> (Pi Recordings) with saxophonist Steve Lehman<\/strong>, American lyricist HPrizm<\/strong> (Antipop Consortium<\/strong>), and Senegalese rapper Gaston Bandimic<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In 2020<\/strong>, he launched the A.M.E. (Ateliers de Musiques Exploratives)<\/strong> in collaboration with Brazilian musician, activist, and philosopher Fred Lyra<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Maciek has collaborated with prominent artists, including Magic Malik<\/strong>, Steve Lehman<\/strong>, Olivier Sens<\/strong>, Chander Sardjoe<\/strong>, Alain Vankenhove<\/strong>, Jozef Dumoulin<\/strong>, Karim Ziad<\/strong>, Brice Wassy<\/strong>, Doudou Ndiaye Rose<\/strong>, Ablaye Mbaye<\/strong>, Thione Seck<\/strong>, Hamid Bouchnak<\/strong>, DaBrains<\/strong>, HPrizm<\/strong>, Mike Ladd<\/strong>, Disiz La Peste<\/strong>, Souffrance<\/strong>, and Oxmo Puccino<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

He has performed in clubs across Paris<\/strong>, New York<\/strong>, Warsaw<\/strong>, and Dakar<\/strong>, and at major international festivals<\/strong>, such as:<\/p>\n\n\n\n
