Bass Lessons The ASMM Program
Presentation
Group bass classes provide a shared space where the group dynamic naturally fosters motivation and encourages everyone to progress in a friendly and stimulating environment.
This course is designed to explore the various aspects of the instrument, whether it’s building a solid groove foundation, accompanying different musical styles, or developing your creativity through improvisation.
Topics covered include:
- Instrument knowledge: Scales, arpeggios, techniques, walking bass, etc.
- Groove and rhythm: Working on rhythmic placement, understanding the bass’s role in a rhythm section, and developing lines in different styles (jazz, funk, rock, pop, etc.).
- Accompaniment: How to build effective and varied bass lines over chord progressions, learning to read chord charts.
- Improvisation: Techniques for improvising, enriching your lines, and incorporating your own musical ideas.
