Group drum classes offer a unique space for sharing and learning, where the group dynamic fosters motivation, creativity, and progress in a friendly and stimulating atmosphere.
This course is designed to explore all aspects of drumming, from building solid technical foundations to accompanying various styles and understanding grooves and rhythmic placement.
Topics covered include:
- Instrument knowledge – Basic techniques: Stick grip, essential rudiments, hand-foot coordination.
- Advanced techniques: Paradiddles, flams, ghost notes.
- Sound control: Dynamic control, precision.
Rhythm and Groove
- Rhythmic placement: Playing in time, “pocket”, metronome work, etc.
- Exploring rhythms across various styles and influential drummers (jazz, funk, rock, pop, Latin, etc.).
Jam-sessions
Students are encouraged to regularly participate in the many jam sessions organized by the school, allowing teachers to closely monitor and support their progress.
Master-classes
Throughout the year, masterclasses will be held with renowned figures from the music world, offering discounted rates for students enrolled in the non-degree program.
