After training at the conservatory, Camille Bertault received a classical piano award and studied opera singing, theater, and dance at the Nice Conservatory.
At the age of 20, she wrote, directed, and performed in children’s plays.
Inspired by her jazz-loving father, she studied vocal jazz and improvisation at the Paris Conservatory.
In 2016, she was noticed by the New York label Sunnyside Records, which released her debut album En vie and introduced her to the New York jazz scene.
She then released two albums, Pas de géant and Le tigre on Sony, followed by Playground on ACT — nominated for the German Jazz Prize — and Songs for my Daughter on Sunnyside Records.
In 2023, her sixth album Bonjour Mon Amour was released on the artist collective label Vita, and she won the Victoires du Jazz award.
In October 2025, she will release Voz e vocês on Sunnyside, an album paying tribute to her love for Brazil.m paying tribute to her love for Brazil.
